'Get your dirty hands out of here,' Venezuela's Maduro tells Trump

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has lashed out at Donald Trump, telling him to get his ‘dirty hands’ out of the country. It comes after a fresh round of US sanctions and strong condemnation of his socialist government from the American leader. “In Venezuela, there is a dignified government and we’re here on our feet. Get your hands out of here, Donald Trump, get your dirty hands out of here,” said a defiant Maduro. “Donald Trump, look in the mirror, at Michel Temer of Brazil. Whoever meddles in Venezuela gets into trouble.” The Trump administration slapped sanctions on the chief judge and seven other members of Venezuela’s Supreme Court on Thursday. Officials say it is punishment for annulling the opposition-led Congress in a series of rulings this year. The move aims to step on pressure on Maduro following a crackdown on street protests and efforts to consolidate his rule.
