President Donald Trump was hit by embarrassing leaks that one of his senior advisers was a "person of interest" in a probe of possible collusion with Russia during last year's election campaign. It was also made public that Trump had bragged to Russian officials that he fired former FBI Director James Comey, who was heading the investigation. In the transcript of the encounter between Trump and the Russians in the Oval Office, Trump referred to Comey as "crazy" and "a nutjob.".
