Chicago's Teacher's Union Have New Method To Promote Charter Schools

Leaders of the public school teachers’ union are wanting to enlist charter school staff members to help stymie the growth of charter schools in Chicago. According to reuters.com, “Union officials in [Chicago] say their push for a tie-up on added urgency after US President Donald Trump chose Betsy DeVo, a backer of charter and private schools, as his education secretary.” They believe their new unified approach will be their best method moving forward.
