BREAKING: Charlottesville Mayor Reports One Dead After Car Plowed into Alt-Right Demonstrators

Charlottesville mayor Mike Signer tweeted minutes ago that one person was killed when a car plowed into a crowd of protesters. He is also urging demonstrators and onlookers to go home for their own safety. โ€œI am heartbroken that a life has been lost here. I urge all people of good will--go home.โ€ There are also reports that the driver of the car is in custody; police have yet to confirm that.
