A major purpose of the UST Demo Lab is to showcase the ability of the company's revolutionary UST Platform to process CBD oil into true, high quality, water-soluble nanoemulsions, according to a statement. It is expected that nanoemulsions of CBD will be more stable, have superior aesthetic quality, and offer higher bioavailability than the standard macro/microemulsions used in most CBD products today. ElectraMeccanica Vehicles Corporation (NASDAQ:SOLO), an electric vehicle manufacturer, has hired BDO USA’s Site Selection & Business Incentives Practice to lead its search for an assembly and engineering technical facility in the US. BDO has selected seven states - Arizona, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas - as finalists and sent initial proposals to each state’s chief economic development entity. The leading location, as well as a backup option, are expected to be announced in the third quarter, the company said.  Gevo Inc (NASDAQ:GEVO) announced Thursday it has been awarded part of The Queensland Waste to Biofutures (W2B) Fund to support the development of waste-to-biofutures projects in Australia’s second-largest state. The fund backs pilot, demonstration or commercially scalable biorefinery projects in Queensland that use conventional waste streams or biomass to produce bioenergy, biofuels and high-value bioproducts. “We are thrilled to be awarded funding from W2B, which will allow us to further our assessment of a contemplated second-generation (2G) feedstock to biofuel project in Queensland, said Gevo CEO Patrick Gruber. “This opportunity opens the door for the development of a project that not only supplies low carbon gasoline to Queensland, but also the possibility to supply commercial quantities of 2G sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to the Brisbane Airport, expanding upon our demonstrations of SAF supply to commercial airlines like those conducted with Virgin Australia over the last several months.” Cabral Gold Inc (CVE:CBR) reported new results Thursday from exploration work on its promising Alonso target on the Cuiú Cuiú gold property in Brazil. The Vancouver-based exploration firm said that 24 samples from a group of boulders at Alonso held gold values ranging from 11.6 grams per ton (g/t) to 200.3 g/t gold for an average grade of 91.7 g/t gold. Cabral’s work at Alonso continues to expand the footprint of the anomaly with highly elevated gold counts in panned stream sediments further to the west and south of the original showing, CEO Alan Carter said in a statement. Nextleaf Solutions Ltd (CSE:OILS) (OTCMKTS:OILFF) revealed it had bolstered its IP (intellectual property) with a new patent covering a cannabinoid-derived prodrug, which could have unique medicinal benefits. The US Patent and Trademark Office has awarded the firm a patent for a process called the acetylation of cannabinoids. "Nextleaf's patented process produces THC-O-Acetate, a cannabinoid-derived metabolic prodrug with potentially very unique medicinal benefits associated with efficient and targeted drug delivery," said Ryan Ko, the group's chief technology officer. AgraFlora Organics International Inc (CSE:AGRA) (OCTMKTS:AGFAF), a diversified international cannabis company, said that it had engaged seasoned cannabis industry executive John Fowler to drive asset commercialization and shareholder value creation. Arcadia Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ:RKDA) has been awarded a patent for a yield-improving allele for high fiber, resistant starch wheat from the US Patent and Trademark Office. The allele, essentially an alternative form of a particular gene, represents the latest patent in Arcadia’s GoodWheat portfolio of non-GMO wheat varieties. It was developed using the company’s proprietary technology platform, ArcaTech. Through multi-year field studies, Arcadia discovered that wheat carrying the allele produced yields 6% to 9% greater on average, with some yields as much as 30% greater. Carube Copper Corp (CVE:CUC) (OTCMKTS:CARCF) revealed Thursday it had now completed the previously announced acquisition of Latin America Resource Group (LARG), announced a new appointment to the Carube board and said CEO Stephen Hughes was to take temporary medical leave. The LARG transaction was first reported last August. The private firm's main asset is the 5,696-hectare Jasperoide copper-gold project, where due diligence by Carube has identified the potential for porphyry-style copper-gold mineralization. NexTech AR Solutions Corp (OTCMKTS:NEXCF) (CSE:NTAR) announced four new WebAR e-commerce customers that will utilize the company’s CaptureAR augmented reality creation technology. RNC Minerals (TSE:RNX) said Thursday that exploration at a series of prospects on its Higginsville operation have returned high-grade results and visible gold. The Toronto-based company discovered the visible gold in a surface sample taken from the Hidden Secret project on the Western Australian property. As well, high-grade drill intersections were uncovered at the Corona deposit as part of RNC’s ongoing review of the historic drilling database at Higginsville.  Fidelity Minerals Corp. (CVE:FMN) has closed the transaction, announced on February 13, 2020, regarding a debt settlement agreement with a creditor under which the company has agreed to pay A$20,000 in cash and issue an aggregate of 300,000 common shares in order to settle certain obligations of the company totalling A$100,000. The company said it has decided to satisfy this outstanding indebtedness with shares in order to preserve its cash for operations. It noted that the share issuance was approved by the TSX Venture Exchange on February 25, 2020. Ximen Mining Corp (CVE:XIM) said the TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for expedited filing documentation relating to its agreement, dated January 24, 2020, with John Bakus, under which the company has the option to acquire a 100% interest in the California mineral claim and the Camp McKinney claim located in Southern British Columbia. The consideration is $30,000 and 111,111 shares.
