Loop Insights Inc (CVE:MTRX) (OTCPINK:VRZPF) is teaming up with a leading Mexican technology solutions provider to boost the region’s tourism sector. The agreement signed with Ping Pong Innovation covers Mexico and Latin America, delivering Loop’s contactless technologies to the highly fragmented tourism sector. According to Loop, leveraging its artificial intelligence platform in the tourism sector will provide a transformational new form of revenue and growth opportunities. Tourism in Mexico – a dominant form of revenue for the country – is currently limited by a disconnected retail and property technological landscape, Loop said in a statement. Loop and PPI are joining forces to bring Loop’s connective technology to transform the region’s current infrastructure and create seamless, revenue-generating customer experiences. What’s more, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is accelerating brick and mortar's digital transformation and highlighting that contactless, connected experiences are the future, according to Loop’s CEO Rob Anson. “Ping Pong Innovation is a respected leader in building high quality, innovative solutions, and they will be very busy coming out of the pandemic,” Anson said in a statement. “We are excited to enlist our services to help them revitalize their clients' retail and property tech infrastructure, and instill confidence back into Mexico's tourism industry." PPI’s CEO Alma Pineda said that once the pandemic is under control, the firm’s retail and tourism clients will be “desperately waiting” to reopen their operations and rebuild. “The tourism industry dominates Mexico and Latin America's economy and we anticipate substantial interest in connective, contactless technologies will come from this vertical,” Pineda said in a statement. “We are confident that with Loop we can revive our clients' properties so that guests feel safe and secure traveling to Mexico after the COVID-19 crisis is over."
