Columbus State to remove downtown campus' Christopher Columbus statue

The statue of Christopher Columbus that has been on display at Columbus State Community College since 1988 is coming down. The college announced the action today, and said the removal would happen within two weeks. The statue will be eventually replaced with a new art installation.
