Home Depot's sales, profits soar on Covid-19 remodeling boom

The Home Depot Inc. on Tuesday reported blowout sales and profits as the Covid-19 pandemic spurred Americans to fix up their homes. The Atlanta-based home improvement giant posted sales of $38.1 billion for the second quarter of fiscal 2020, a 23% increase from the second quarter of fiscal 2019. Comparable sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2020 jumped 23%, and comparable sales in the U.S. climbed 25%.
