Trump Readies New Round of Aid to Farmers Hit by China Trade War

The Trump administration is preparing to announce another round of aid to farmers hurt by the trade war with China as soon as Thursday, people familiar with the plan said, a package of assistance that could exceed $15 billion.

Trump's bailout program for farmers is expected to double
As the US-China trade war continues to drag on, bailout spending on farmers is poised to more than double. A second bailout program is on deck, and while details on the plan aren't available yet, Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue said it was initially estimated to total between $15 and $20 billion. Add that to the amount of aid already provided last year and the total amount of the bailout package would come to around $30 billion.
