Schiff launches probe of claims DHS monitored communications of protesters, journalists in Portland

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., is demanding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) give a full accounting of the way its intelligence arm monitored recent unrest in Portland, claiming that recent media reports indicated the department engaged in "deeply troubling" surveillance.
