The critically-acclaimed DOOM Eternal is getting a two-part story expansion and the first episode is scheduled to arrive in October. DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Part One releases on October 20 and it will be available on PC and consoles on the same day. It's important to add that players who already own the DOOM Eternal Year One Pass or the Deluxe edition of DOOM Eternal will receive The Ancient Gods, Part One for free. However, those who don't own either of the two will have to purchase the expansion separately, which will also include free access to BATTLEMODE. The good news is that players do not need to own DOOM Eternal to purchase and play The Ancient Gods, Part One, which means this will be a self-contained expansion.
