Dorian's devastating impact on the Bahamas
Aerial footage over the Bahamas on Wednesday showed the full devastation left behind by Hurricane Dorian, a day after the most powerful hurricane on record ever to hit the country mauled the islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama. Video showed extensive damage to homes, trees and boats along the coastlines. At least seven deaths have been reported in the Bahamas from Dorian, with the full scope of the disaster still unknown. Dorian, meanwhile, pushed its way northward off the Florida shoreline with reduced but still-dangerous 105mph winds on a projected course that could hit Georgia and the Carolinas. An estimated three million people in the four states were warned to clear out, and roads leading inland were turned into one-way evacuation routes.
