Winter storm moving out after blasting Denver and Colorado’s Front Range with heavy snow

A winter storm that blasted through Colorado on Monday night and Tuesday, dumping more than 2 feet of snow on some of the Front Range foothills, is moving east, leaving behind a winter wonderland while stranding travelers at Denver International Airport and shutting down government offices and businesses.

First Alert Action Day: Heavy snow, strong winds - a major storm!
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect though Tuesday afternoon, with heavy snow, strong winds and cold conditions. Snow total of 8 to 12 inches are possible for the Denver area, with 18 to 24 inches around Fort Collins! Winds will gust to 40 mph, causing extensive blowing and drifting and closing roads by early Tuesday.
