The White House "looked into" carving President Donald Trump's face onto Mount Rushmore, reports The New York Times.

This just took place,” President Trump said, adding that the individual had been taken to the hospital.“I can’t tell you the condition of the suspect,” he said. “There was nobody else injured. There was no other law enforcement injured.”Trump said he did not know whether it was threat directed at him. “They’re going to find that out,” he said. The Secret Service confirmed shortly after there was “an officer involved shooting” at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, which is about a block away from the White House. Trump praised Secret Service for doing a “fantastic job.”
