EU-UK Brexit Deal Not Expected To Be Done This Weekend
According to Reuters, weekend negotiations in Brussels between British and EU officials have not yet produced a final "Brexit deal" for leaders to approve. Some European diplomats following the talks closely have been more optimistic that EU negotiators, saying that by this afternoon, a deal could be achieved. But other sources told Reuters Sunday that further talks would be needed to get the agreement both sides want. If the meeting of EU chiefs in Brussels this week fails to make โ€œdecisive progress,โ€ the bloc could switch to "Brexit no-deal mode" and come back for more negotiations on November 17.
