Robert Forster, Oscar nominee for 'Jackie Brown,' dies at 78

Robert Forster, the handsome and omnipresent character actor who got a career resurgence and Oscar nomination for playing bail bondsman Max Cherry in 'Jackie Brown,' died Friday. He was 78.

Actor Robert Forster Dead At 78
Beloved character actor Robert Forster passed away in Los Angeles on Friday. CNN reports Forster died surrounded by his family, at the age of 78. He died of brain cancer. Forster was best known for his roles in "Reflections in a Golden Eye" and "Medium Cool." The Rochester, New York native went on to appear in more than 100 films, including 'Jackie Brown,' and several television series.
