‘It’s Not a Choice:’ Syrians Flee After Turkish Forces Bombard Their Homes

Since Turkish forces attacked Kurdish-controlled territory in northeast Syria, almost two thousand refugees have fled the country. We spoke with some of them in Bardarash refugee camp, across the border in Iraq.

Trump's Move Pushes US Forces To Destroy Own Anti-ISIS HQ
Business Insider reports US forces destroyed the headquarters of their anti-ISIS efforts in Syria on Wednesday. The move was prevent the facilities from falling into the hands of fighters backed by Turkey. On Friday, Turkish forces fired at a US position in Syria, which some US officials say was deliberate. Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are on their way to Ankara to try and broker a ceasefire.
