Net Neutrality Advocate Mignon Clyburn Is Leaving The FCC
FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn is a passionate advocate for protecting net neutrality.
Mignon announced plans on Tuesday to step down from the agency.
Nominated by President Barack Obama in 2009, Clyburn became one of the most outspoken proponents for net neutrality.
She called the FCC’s recent decision to repeal the 2015 rules a “significant attack on internet freedom.” FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel, is the only other Democrat to currently serve on the FCC.
She called Clyburn a "dynamo" who "represents the best of public service.".
