Beyoncé Gives $100,000 To Four Black Colleges
You'd think Beyonce would disappear for some R&R after her incredible Coachella performance.
But as the first Black woman to headline Coachella's 19-year run, her work is not done.
She's donating $100,000 to four historically black colleges and universities.
Xavier, Wilberforce, Tuskegee and Bethune-Cookman Universities will each receive $25,000.
The scholarship cash will be given to HBCU students with a 3.5GPA or higher, as part of the singer's BeyGOOD initiative.
Ivy McGregor of the BeyGood Foundation said, "We honor all institutions of higher learning for maintaining culture and creating environments for optimal learning which expands dreams and the seas of possibilities for students."
Beyonce's Coachella performance included references to black culture, including black fraternities and sororities.
