Starbucks Closes For Racial Bias Education
On May 29, you'll have to make your coffee at home.
All U.S. Starbucks locations will be closed to "conduct racial-bias education" for their employees.
This comes after two black men were arrested at a Philadelphia location, after refusing to leave.
Employees alerted the police after the men didn't place an order and asked to use the bathroom.
They were reportedly waiting to meet a friend.
The training will cover topics such as "implicit bias" and "conscious inclusion."
Reaction to the closure was mixed on social media.
Some applaud Starbucks, others believe that they're overreacting.
