Giuliani: Mueller Agrees To 'Narrow Scope' For Possible Trump Interview
Rudy Giuliani told CNN that Robert Mueller "has agreed to narrow the scope of a potential interview" with President Trump. President Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani said during an appearance on CNN's 'New Day,' "special counsel Robert Mueller has agreed to narrow the scope of a potential interview with President Donald Trump from five topics to two." Giuliani added that Trump's legal team wants the primary focus of the interview to be on Russia. The former New York mayor also noted that the president's former attorney Michael Cohen is expected to be among the topics excluded. Politico reported Thursday, citing Giuliani, that Trump's lawyers have started to plan "a series of summer prep sessions" for the possible Mueller interview. "The planning meetings — to be held during off-hours at the White House and perhaps over rounds of golf at Trump's private courses, Giuliani said — will mirror the then-GOP nominee's 2016 debate preparation, in which aides briefed an impatient Trump in several brief sessions over many weeks," noted Politico. Meanwhile, Trump continues to refer to Mueller's investigation into Russia's interference in US elections as a "witch hunt." "Congratulations America, we are now into the second year of the greatest Witch Hunt in American History...and there is still No Collusion and No Obstruction.
The only Collusion was that done by Democrats who were unable to win an Election despite the spending of far more money!" the president tweeted Thursday..
