Kate Spade's Brother-In-Law Donates $100,00 for Mental Health Actor David Spade gave the donation in Kate’s honor to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, following her death last week.

The fashion designer was found dead of an apparent suicide by hanging in her New York City on Tuesday, June 5.

Andy Spade, Kate’s husband, told 'The New York Times' she struggled with depression and anxiety during the 24 years they were married.

For an interview with 'People,' David Spade addressed the seriousness of mental health.
