Trump Administration Names New DEA Chief

On Monday, The Trump administration named the new head of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Uttam Dhillon, former deputy White House counsel, was named as the DEAโ€™s acting administrator.

Dhillon replaces Robert Patterson, a 30-year agency veteran who announced his retirement last month.

The agency is currently devoting much of its attention to grappling with the national opioid epidemic.
