Drug lord, 'El Chapo' guilty on all counts

Jurors found Mexico's most feared drug kingpin, Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman, guilty of all ten criminal counts.

He now faces a possible sentence of life in prison.

Drug lord, 'El Chapo' guilty on all counts

One of the world's most notorious drug lords -- Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman -- was found guilty TUESDAY in a New York federal court.

On the sixth day of deliberations, jurors found 61-year-old Guzman GUILTY ON ALL TEN criminal counts.

In an 11-week trial followed closely by the media--over 50 witnesses came forward, including SOME OF GUZMAN'S FORMER ASSOCIATES, most of whom had pleaded guilty to U.S. drug charges, giving insight into the cartel's inner workings….

Describing Guzman's lavish lifestyle and penchant for murdering his enemies.

The defense had argued Guzman was set up as a 'fall guy' by a Mexican drug kingpin who remains at large.

Guzman is KNOWN FOR HIS dramatic escapes from prison.

He first broke out from a Mexican prison in 2001- and was eventually re-captured and imprisoned again in 2014.

But not for long... he pulled off another stunning escape the following year when he disappeared into a mile-long tunnel dug into his 'maximum security' prison cell.

Guzman was re-captured in 2016 after a shootout in Sinaloa and extradited to the United States in January, 2017 - where he was put on trial.

Guzman now faces a possible sentence of life in prison.
