High Fiber Diets Can Help Cancer Treatments— Probiotics Don't

According to Mother Nature Network, a new study claims that using probiotic supplements could make cancer treatments worse.

The study, presented by the American Association for Cancer Research, monitored people with melanoma skin cancer, who were getting PD-1 blockade or checkpoint inhibition immune therapy.

They found that 40% percent of patients taking probiotics saw a decrease in their their gut microbe diversity.
