NYC's Transit Authority Subway Renovations Violated ADA

A federal judge has ruled New York City’s transit authority has violated federal disability law.

According to Reuters, the violation occurred when the Metropolitan Transit Authority replaced a subway station’s stairs without installing an elevator.

According to Reuters, the decision could require new elevators in future station renovations.

[The decision is]...a major victory for all New Yorkers who need elevators to access the subway.
