New Zealand Women Wear Hardscarves To Support Muslim Community

Fifty people were killed at two mosques in New Zealand, in the city of Christchurch.

Women from the country wore headscarves to show solidarity with the Muslim community.

A doctor came up with the idea after a woman expressed fear to wear a headscarf in public.

According to Reuters, she was scared of becoming a target for terrorism.

The doctor said it was a form of making them β€œfeel at home” and showing β€œlove, support and respect.”
