Georgia's Republican-Controlled Legislature Passes Heartbeat Abortion Ban

According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, Georgia's Republican-controlled legislature passed a new law outlawing abortion if a doctor is able to detect a heartbeat.

Georgia's House of Representatives passed the bill, sending it to Republican Governor Brian Kemp, who is expected to sign it into law.

In a Twitter post, Kemp reportedly wrote, "Georgia values life.

We stand up for the innocent and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.
