Blizzard Bears Down As Plains Continue To Reel From Flooding

According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, a powerful April blizzard threatened the north-central part of the United States, as it pushed east across the Rockies and into the Plains states, increasing the threat of flooding in areas still recovering from a deadly flood last month.

The National Weather Service reportedly said that warm spring temperatures are expected to give way to heavy snow, gale-force winds and life-threatening conditions from Colorado to Minnesota over the next two days.

Patrick Burke, a meteorologist with the NWS Weather Prediction Center in Maryland, said that residents could expect to see downed trees, widespread power outages, as well as, road closures and treacherous driving conditions.
