US Measles Hit Record Number Of Cases After Reportedly Being Eliminated From Country

Measles was eliminated in the U.S. in 20o0 but has come back and surpassed the highest number on record since then.

According to CNN, there have been 681 measles cases in 22 states in just 2019.

Some of those states include, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Colorado, California, Arizona, among more.

The highest number of reported cases since elimination was 667 in 2014.

Public health officials said most of the cases are emerging in communities with low rates of vaccination.
