Trump Says He Believes US-Japan Trade Deal Will Be Made Soon

SF Gate reports US President Donald Trump has expressed confidence that a new trade deal will be worked out with Japan.

Trump hosted Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Friday for meetings at the White House.

The president said he thinks a deal could be struck quickly and even be signed during his visit to Japan next month, where he will celebrate the installation of its new emperor.

The president and prime minister are planning to play a round of golf on Saturday in addition to their meetings.
