Trump Requests $4.5 Billion In Emergency Funding For Border

Reuters reports he Trump administration on Wednesday asked Congress for $4.5 billion in immediate emergency funding.

The government said the funding is to address increased migration at the U.S. southern border.

The request includes $3.3 billion for shelter, food and other needs for migrants in custody.

It also includes $1.1 billion for personnel and $178 million for information technology.
