ROUGH CUT.

NO REPORTER NARRATION STORY: Julian Lennon, the 56-year-old elder son of Beatle John Lennon, is looking to the younger generation to help fight climate change, and hopes his new children's book "Love the Earth" will help encourage them to take action.

"I'm not political, but when you see certain present administrations right now that are just not believing facts, things that are happening right in front of their eyes, that's pretty saddening," Lennon said at a book signing event in Los Angeles.

"But I have seen an uprising of...little humanitarians running around seeing this for themselves and saying 'we don't want the world this world that you're you're delivering to us, you know, we want to change'.

And I do believe that that strength will come through," he said.

"Love the Earth" is the final book in a conservation-themed trilogy by the Grammy-nominated singer and philanthropist.

Child readers are encouraged to hop on board the "White Feather Flyer" and plant gardens to help butterflies survive their migration or clean the ocean of plastics.

"Love the Earth" is co-written by author Bart Davis, a friend of Lennon's, and illustrated by Smiljana Coh.

It was published on April 22 by Simon and Schuster.
