Stephen Moore Points To Vetting Process As Reason For Withdrawing

Stephen Moore has withdrawn as a candidate to serve on the Federal Reserve Board.

According to Politico, Moore was surprised at critics looking at his divorce records and old columns.

He said if he had known that would happen, he would have told the president he couldn’t do it.

Moore said the problem was the vetting process that Trump’s administration neglects before submitting a nominee.

Past administrations spend weeks or months identifying damaging information before nominating candidates.
