Drug Company Founder And Execs Found Guilty Of Opioid Scheme

Reuters reports the founder of Insys Therapeutics Inc on Thursday became the highest-ranking drugmaker executive convicted in a case tied to the U.S. opioid crisis.

John Kapoor and four colleagues were found guilty of bribing doctors to prescribe the addictive painkiller.

Kapoor was arrested in 2017, the same day that U.S. President Donald Trump declared the opioid epidemic a public health emergency.
