Pete Buttigieg Suggests God Wouldn't Support Current Republican Party

One 2020 Democratic hopeful has said he doesn't think God would support the current Republican party.

Huff Post reports mayor of South Bend, Indiana Pete Buttigieg said Tuesday that God "doesn't belong to a political party." Buttigieg has made his Christian faith a vital part of his 2020 presidential campaign.

In an interview with NBC’s “Today” he said he doesn't want religion to be “used as a kind of cudgel as if God belonged to a political party.
