More than a thousand guns and rounds of ammunition were seized from a Bel Air mansion on Wednesday, but the man arrested during the raid was released by Los Angeles authorities on Thursday morning after posting a $50,000 bond.

57-year-old Girard Saenz (SANDS) was arrested on suspicion of unlawful transportation and selling of assault weapons.

Local media reported that among the weapons seized from the home were hundreds of rifles and pistols and manufacturing equipment.

The LAPD's Lt.

Chris Ramirez say he's never seen anything like it.

CHRIS RAMIREZ SAYING: "All makes models and calibers - some range back to the civil war.

Some are older than 50 years and modern day weapons." The house is located less than a mile from celebrity couple Beyoncรฉ and Jay-Z's mansion.

Authorities had reportedly been tipped off that a resident of the home was selling guns illegally.

Local media says court records show Saenz is the longtime companion of LA real estate mogul Cynthia Beck who shares three daughters with Gordon Getty, son of the late J.

Paul Getty, once known as one of the richest men in the world.
