Retired US Generals Don't Think Trump Should Pardon Troops With War Crimes

President Donald Trump is thinking about pardoning troops accused or convicted of war crimes.

One of them is Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher who stabbed a captured militant teen and shot innocent civilians.

According to Business Insider, retired generals are telling Trump why doing that would be a bad idea.

A former Marine Corps commandant said it would give up β€œthe United States’ moral high ground.” The administration reportedly made expedited requests to make the pardons happen on Memorial Day.
