Extradition Bill Predicted To Trigger Mass Strikes In Hong Kong

The Hong Kong business community is bracing itself for the impact of mass strikes on Wednesday.

According to Reuters, thousands braved thunderstorms overnight to stage fresh protests against a proposed extradition bill that would allow people to be sent to mainland China for trial.

Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam said she would press ahead with the legislation despite deep concerns.
