ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) During a working lunch with his cabinet and Polish President Andrzej Duda, President Trump on Wednesday asked acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan why he wasn't at the Mexican border.
"Now why aren't you at the Mexican border today?
What are you doing here with Poland?" Trump asked as if in a joking matter.
Trump later asked McAleenan how the U.S. was doing on the southern border and McAleenan responded: "We are doing well, Mr. President.
We're aggressively implementing the agreement that Secretary Pompeo and with your leadership we got with Mexico recently and so we are making progress on that already in the first few days and seeing some real developments in our partnership."
