103-Year-Old Woman Sets Record in 50 Meter Dash at National Senior Games

A 103-year-old woman set a world record on June 17 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the 50 meter dash at the National Senior Games.

Geoff Grammer shared footage of Julia “Hurricane” Hawkins finishing the race, setting a record for the women’s 100-plus age division with a time of 21.06.

Hawkins later ran the 100 meter dash on June 18, finishing in a time of 46.07.
