Erdogan Says U.S. Won't Impose Sanctions On Turkey For Purchasing Russian Defenses

According to a report by Reuters, on Saturday, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said that the United States did not plan to impose sanctions on Ankara for buying Russian defense systems, after US President Donald Trump said Turkey had not been treated fairly over the contract.

The two nations have been at odds over Turkey's decision to procure Russian S-400 missile defense systems, with Washington warning of sanctions if the deal goes through.
