Less than two weeks after his 2020 campaign kickoff for re-election in Orlando, Florida… (SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP SAYING: "Tonight, I stand before you to officially launch my campaign for a second term as president of the United States." U.S. President Donald Trump's campaign committee announced Tuesday it's raised a whopping 105-million in the second quarter of 2019.

The staggering number comes from the joint fundraising operation between the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee, dubbed Trump Victory.

That campaign machine has already reported a war chest of 100 million dollars, nearly 500 days before Election Day.

Democrats will clearly have to scramble to make up for Trump's IMPRESSIVE FUNDRAISING HAUL - PLUS, his advantage of running as an incumbent, as they sort out their field of more than 20 primary candidates.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP SAYING: "No matter what label they use, a vote for any Democrat in 2020 is a vote for the rise of radical socialism and the destruction of the American dream." Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders just announced he took in 18-million dollars in the last three months, fueled by small donors.

Sanders' haul is less than the 24-million Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana, collected in the quarter, propelling the once marginal democratic challenger into the Democratic Party's top tier.

And riding high on her strong showing AT LAST WEEK'S democratic debate, Senator Kamala Harris' campaign raised $2 million dollars in the 24 hours immediately after the debate.

The Trump campaign says it's striving to hit an ambitious 1 billion dollar goal for the 2020 race, as the Democrats continue to go all out to catch up.
