Israeli Prime Minister said 'spy mission' proved Iran pursued nuclear weapons program

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said President Donald Trump knew about a “spy mission” in Tehran.

Netanyahu said he informed Trump that the “mission” was meant to obtain a secret Iranian nuclear archive.

According to Reuters, he said the documents retrieved proved Iran previously pursued a nuclear weapons program.

When the U.S. left the 2015 nuclear pact, Trump cited Israeli finding as his reason for doing so.
