Court Rules Trump Can't Block Critics on Twitter

Court Rules That Trump Cannot Block Twitter Critics In their decision, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said the president blocking people betrays the first amendment.

Circuit Judge Barrington Parker, via ruling The move follows a similar ruling by a judge in New York City last year.

Trump, who claims over 61 million followers, has used Twitter as one of the central messages of his presidency.

One of the plaintiffs, the Knight First Amendment Institute, even wrote that it is extension of his presidential office.

Those who originally challenged Trump also include seven Twitter users whom he had blocked.
