Pensacola Ferries Continue After Barry Makes Landfall to the West

Ferries continued to operate out of Pensacola, Florida, on Saturday, July 13, after Hurricane Barry made landfall to the west in Louisiana earlier, before weakening back to a tropical storm.

This video shows one of the ferries coming into port at Pensacola in choppy waters.

Pensacola Bay Cruises told Storyful at 1pm that there were high winds in the area but said there was no immediate plan to cancel ferries, which carry people between Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, and Fort Pickens.

The National Hurricane Center warned that though the storm had weakened after making landfall, it was still expected to bring dangerous flooding, rain, and wind across the north-central Gulf Coast.
