Your morning news now... president trump is under new criticism for a weekend tweet about four congresswomen .

He did not name them ... but the tweet almost certainly refers the group of democrats who have become known as the squad' ... which includes alexandria ocasio- cortes and minnesota congresswoman ilhan omar.

In his tweet... the president says -quote- "why don't they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came" -end quote- all four of the congresswomen are american citizens.

Tropical storm barry' did not cause the catastrophic flooding many feared along the gulf coast over the weekend... but the danger is not past.

Barry' is still expected to cause significant rainfall as it heads north today.

The body of a winona boater has been found in the mississippi river.

He went missing friday... when his boat capsized on a spillway near prairie island campground.

Crews searched for him for hours.

His body was found saturday.

In the wisconsin river... a 53- year- old man drowned over the weekend.

On saturday he swam out to get his children... who were wearing life jackets but were floating too far away.

The children and their mother made it back to shore.

The father did not.

His body was found yesterday.

Wisconsin health officials are putting out an emergency appeal for blood donations.

Right now... there's less than half- a- day's supply of the types of blood used in emergency rooms. to make an appointment to donate... visit red cross blood dot org.'

"it was another moment to be proud of the city, the way people handled it, and thank god the incident lasted five hours only, but during those five hours, new yorkers distinguished themselves."

The lights are back on in the city that never sleeps.'

A power outage saturday night impacted more than 70- thousand people in new york city ... and shut-down restaurants and broadway shows.

Investigators are working to figure out what caused the blackout.

Temps are in the 60s in a few spots, but mainly 70s, upper 70s in spots.
