Why President Obama Didn’t Pass Gun Control

The country has been rocked by a series of mass shootings.

There is pressure for President Trump and Republicans lawmakers to make gun control a priority.

The issue would be moot, however, if Trump's predecessor, Barack Obama, had passed gun control while he was in office.

Why didn't President Obama make gun control a priority?

According to Politico, Obama was terrified the political fallout of gun control would hurt the Democratic party.

In fact, Obama never campaigned on gun control.
