Mexico Expects Relief On U.S. Tariff Threat

Mexico says it does not expect the United States to threaten to put tariffs on its goods.

This is due to talks next week about efforts to curb migration from Central America, says Reuters.

Mexico has reduced the flow of undocumented migrants at the U.S. border by 56% between May and August.

This is after Trump he'd put tariffs on all Mexican exports to the US if Mexico didn't curb immigration.

Mexico agreed to deploy thousands of forces to its borders and began taking more asylum-seekers.
