Democrats Nita Lowey Takes Steps To Block Farmer Bailout From Trump
Nita Lowey took steps to block a new Trump administration program.
According to Business Insider, the program is meant to mitigate losses from it trade disputes.
House Appropriations Committee spokesperson said Americans “deserve a robust debate on the costs of the Trump trade war.” Trump created the Market Facilitation Program to help farmers who lost business because of the imposed tariffs.
The estimated total cost of MFP went up to at least $28 million this year.
